Programme Aims and Objectives 

The learning program for a Bachelor of Arts with Education in Mathematics Education and Religious Studies Education aims to:

  1. Develop students’ knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts and principles, and how to teach them effectively in a variety of educational settings.
  2. Equip students with the necessary skills and competencies to create effective and engaging learning experiences for students in the areas of mathematics and religious studies.
  3. Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students, allowing them to analyze and evaluate mathematical and religious concepts and apply them to real-world situations.
  4. Develop students’ communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students from diverse backgrounds.
  5. Prepare students to become reflective practitioners, who are constantly evaluating their own teaching practices and seeking to improve upon them.
  6. Cultivate an appreciation for the role of religion in society and the importance of teaching religious literacy in schools.
